Building the Next-Gen Referral Partnership Platform
Expando.ai is an AI-powered B2B SaaS platform headquartered in Hong Kong, designed to help tech scale-ups automate and scale their partner-led growth. Supported by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks (HKSTP) Incubation Programme and the CityU HK Tech 300 fund, the platform unifies partner management, automated payouts, and referral tracking.
As a Founding Developer, I played a critical role in designing, building, and launching the core Expando SaaS platform from the ground up, earning acceptance under the Research Talent Hub Hong Kong Program (ITF).
Technical Implementation
Core Architecture & Security
I architected and deployed foundational modules critical to the platform's operation. This included implementing secure authentication via Supabase Auth, establishing rigorous database security through Row Level Security (RLS), and integrating Stripe and Stripe Connect for complex, multi-currency commission payouts.
Communication & AI Integration
To facilitate seamless partner collaboration, I built real-time chat functionality and a multi-channel notification system (email and in-app). Furthermore, I spearheaded the integration of Agentic AI, leveraging tools like the AI SDK, Conversational Agents, and Google ADK to drive intelligent automation across the platform.
Data & Network Optimization
To optimize how trusted advisors and B2B SaaS vendors discover partnerships, I conducted advanced research into Graph Network models, utilizing Neo4J to map and enhance ecosystem connections.
